Gradebook
Scholi's gradebook is an online mark book for your classes. You set up the columns once — a test worth 40%, homework worth 20% — and every score you enter rolls into a weighted average automatically. Marks from Scholi exams and assignments arrive on their own.
How the gradebook works
Set up your columns
Name each thing you will mark and give it a weight. The weights are checked as you go, so a scheme that does not add up cannot be saved by accident.
Add your class
Type students in, or import a list. Each class keeps its own gradebook.
Enter marks
Type scores straight into the grid. Anything graded inside Scholi — an exam, an assignment — fills itself in.
Share the result
Averages update as you type. Export a report when you need something to hand to a parent or a head of department.
What you get
Weighted columns
Give every column a weight and the final average follows it. No spreadsheet formulas to maintain and no chance of one class using a different rule.
Marks arrive on their own
Exams and assignments graded in Scholi write their scores into the gradebook, so there is no second place to copy them to.
Reports you can hand over
Export a class or a single student to a file you can print, email, or attach to a report card.
One gradebook per class
Each class carries its own scheme, so a Grade 9 class and a Grade 12 class do not have to be marked the same way.
Common questions
Do I need a paid plan for the gradebook?
Yes. The gradebook is part of a Scholi teacher plan: setting up classes, entering marks, and reading averages. Larger school-wide features — shared schemes across departments and report cards — are part of the school plan.
Can I weight tests and homework differently?
Yes. Each column carries its own weight, so a test can count 40% and homework 20%. The average recalculates as soon as a score changes, and the weights are validated when you save the scheme.
Does the gradebook work with Scholi exams?
Yes. An exam or assignment marked inside Scholi writes its score into the matching gradebook column automatically, so you never copy a mark from one screen to another.
Can parents see the gradebook?
Not directly. Teachers control what is shared. You export a report when you want to send something home, so nothing reaches a parent before you have looked at it.
